Myth of "The Bermuda Triangle"

Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Florida there is thought to be some sort of phenomenon that has been causing ships and planes to "sail into oblivion" for many years (Rosenberg 1 ). No one knows the exact size or location of this "triangle" because each article or book you read is different. The triangle is thought to be somewhere between 500,00 square miles to 1.5 million square miles . Theories about this area range from a water spout to oceanic flatulence. Some people even believe there are time warps that suck ships and planes out of thin air. These claims seem bogus to me when considering all the believable possibilities such as weather disturbances, insufficient supplies, or untrained crew.
